Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of power is needed?
A: Most inflatables are powered by a standard 120 volt, 15 amp, residential, 3-prong outlet (extension cords will be supplied as required). Some may require a 20 amp outlet. You can rent a generator from us for $50.
Q: How much does an inflatable cost?
A: Our inflatables start at $150 and up. Periodically we offer specials. Call us for rates! 605-397-7469.
Q: What method of payment is accepted?
A: Checks and cash; We require payment before we setup. If you have a large event we request you to mail a signed bid agreement with a deposit of 25% in order to reserve your inflatables.
Q: Is Jump Zone Inflatables insured?
A: Yes; we are insured by a 1,000,000 general liability policy.
Q: Is an Operator or Supervisor required?
A: Yes, if the customer chooses to supply the operator/supervisor they must be present at the time of delivery to receive safety and operating instructions (customer responsible for payment is also to be present at the time of delivery). At each event you may choose to staff it yourself (minimum 1 person per an inflatable).
Q:Are the inflatables safe for babies?
A: NO. Babies under 3 years old should not be on the inflatables because it is not safe.
Q: What are your policies on inclement weather?
A: Safety is our number one priority. The inflatable should NOT be used in winds of 20 mph or greater, when lightning is present, during precipitation, during temperatures below 45 degrees or when weather prevents the safe and proper operation of the equipment. Regarding the rental agreement, if Jump Zone Inflatables, deems the weather unacceptable we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and reschedule.
Q: What happens if we spill on the units?
A: If a spill is made, the customer must clean it up immediately using cleaning supplies, such as 409 or Simple Green. If the inflatable is not clean at pickup we may charge additional $50.00
Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?
A: Yes, although additional fees may apply for some areas.
Q: Does the standard 4 hour rental time include your set up time?
A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.
Q: When do you set up?
A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive within the hour prior to when the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up earlier.
Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That´s why we require an outlet within 100´ of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.
Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
A: Parks are a great place for inflatables but most parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you may need to rent a generator. We rent generators at a reasonable cost. We can only rent at a park if you made arrangements with the city or town who owns the park.
Q: What payments do you accept?
A: Cash or Check. If paying by cash, please have the exact amount, as we typically are not carrying cash.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, all orders require a deposit unless otherwise stipulated. The amount varies depending on what you would like to reserve.
Q: What surfaces do you set up on?
A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), asphalt or concrete. Sorry, we can´t set up on any type of rock, sand or mulch as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps. Please specify as this will dictate what we bring with to set up.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or is damaged in any way?
A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars. We don´t want you or us to be in that situation.
Q.Do you collect Sales Tax?
A: Yes, sales tax will be collected and will vary depending on what city or county the rental occurs in. Your quote will represent the local sales tax. If you are a non-profit entity or have a State approved tax exemption certificate we will ask that you provide us with an EIN number upon rental and a copy of the documentation
Q: Why is an adult required at all times to monitor the use of an inflatable?
A: As is the case with any amusement attraction, playground equipment, or inflatable, there exists the possibility for misuse. Improper use by the occupants, such as climbing on the nets, rough housing, or running into one another can cause serious injury. It is important that a responsible adult be in charge of an inflatable at all times to ensure that all safety rules are followed to prevent injury.
Q :What happens if I lose power?
A: All inflatables designed for commercial or rental use require a fan or blower that runs continuously. Should the blowers provided to you stop working, immediately remove the children playing in or on the inflatable. Then, check the circuit breaker to see if it has tripped. If it has tripped, reset the breaker and if this blower is working properly you may continue playing on the inflatable. Should the breaker trip a second time you should try another electrical outlet.
Q: Can you provide an operator for our inflatables?
A: Yes, we can fully run your entire event – providing staffing for all the inflatables or games at your event. Staffing is $20.00 per hour per attendant with a 4 hour minimum.
Q: How many kids can fit on an inflatable?
A: Usually six to seven, but it depends on the size of the children and the type of inflatable they are on.
Q: What if the weather does not corporate?
A: You may re-schedule your event, due to weather, up to the morning of the event. Once we have left our location, your eligibility to re-schedule will no longer be available. We will require payment in full. If you have re-scheduled, your deposit will be credited towards your next rental. Be advised that we leave as early as 5:30 am. Jump Zone Inflatables always tries to watch the weather contact you prior to your event. However, it is still your responsibility to re-schedule if you feel it is necessary. We have the right not to set up in any place or situation we feel is unsafe for use.
Q: Can we tape signs on the unit?
A: NO TAPE – No duct tape, masking tape, or tape of any kind allowed on inflatables! If game signs and ticket signs are needed (Jump Zone Inflatables does not supply these signs) they must he placed on a chair, table, box, or on a board hammered into the ground NOT ON THE INFLATABLE.
